A Change of Perspective: Spotlight on Freelance Media Art

For 20 years, the HFF Munich Media Art Scholarship has been supporting students who carve out their own artistic path alongside the established departments. A year of studio space, funding, and room for experimentation: This talk looks back on two decades of independent moving-image work at the intersection of film and the visual arts, exploring individual artistic styles and the question of what media-specific work means today.
