Beyond the Frame: Studying Film in NYC and What Comes After

MunichFilmUp! co-directors Elena Diesbach and Matthieu Darras will talk with three of the program’s latest participants, who recently attended New York University and Columbia University. Reuben Hamlyn, Maissa Lihedheb, and He Yupeng will reflect on what they experienced while being trained in filmmaking and living in New York. What can filmmakers take from their time abroad, and how can international connections continue to influence their careers? A candid conversation about film education, financing, creative dialogue, living in different countries, and the transition from studying film to building a career.
