Film Academy Day – Carreer Opportunities in the Film Industry
Many different paths can lead to a career in the film industry. A university degree is not always required. Traditional apprenticeships and previous work experience also suffice. Film Academy Day is a unique opportunity for all school classes and interested parties to learn about the wide range of filmmaking professions and how to get into them.
On Monday, November 16 at 9:30 am in the Audimax auditorium at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF), a screening of the short film VATERLAND – OR A BULE NAMED YANTO will be followed by a discussion in which the team talks about these various professions.
Afterward, you can find out more about entry-level, training, and continuing education opportunities. Members of Crew United’s “Ich will zum Film” initiative who work in various disciplines will be available to answer questions about starting a career in the industry, as will representatives of ZAV, the German Federal Employment Agency’s advisory office for careers in filmmaking.
This event is being held in cooperation with the Film Commission of FFF Bayern.
